Settlement Timeframes
🤔 hmmm, how long is a piece of string? Twice as long as it is from the middle to one end.Â
That's the smarty pants answer, but the truth is it can be anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. It's hard to give definite timescales because there are so many factors:- which electricity company you are claiming from, the type and value of your property, the time of year that you make your claim, whether there are a lot of claims recently submitted in your region area the list goes on!
So for the average residential property, we would hope that a claim could be completed in around 9 months, but individual cases may be quicker or take longer. What we can assure you is that your claim will never be held because WE need to take action. We work quickly and efficiently and when the ball is in our court and it doesn’t stay there longer than necessary!Â
We can give a better estimate of timescale once we know a few details such as where you live and what type of claim you have, and once we have determined who owns the overhead power lines in question.
Let us check whether your property is eligible free of charge and without obligation.
