Who We Are

The Powerline Advisory Group gather and process your personal information in accordance with this privacy statement and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations and laws. This statement provides you with the necessary information regarding your rights and our obligations, and explains how, why and when we process your personal data. The Powerline Advisory Group Limited registered office is at Corby Enterprise Centre, London Road, Priors Hall, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 5EU . We are registered on the Information Commissioner's Office Register; registration number A8576840, and act as the data controller when processing your data. Information That We Collect 

The Powerline Advisory Group processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than as specified in this statement.

We collect information in the below ways: 

We may obtain your personal data directly and indirectly. Directly from you during an enquiry by telephone, email, post, or via a contact form on our website or when you visit our premises. We may obtain your personal data indirectly when acting for our clients in the course of our business relationship or when your personal data is provided to us via a referrer i.e., another law firm or organisation acting on your behalf such as a conveyancer or other professional individual. 

How We Use Your Personal Data 

The Powerline Advisory Group takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclose, share or sell your data without your consent; unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purpose(s) specified in this statement. Where you have consented to us providing you with marketing related information etc., you are free to withdraw this consent at any time. 

The purposes and reasons for processing your personal data are detailed below: 

• We collect your personal data during the performance of a contract or when providing one or more of our services to you whether remotely or face-to-face. 

• We collect and store your personal data as part of our legal obligation for business accounting, tax purposes and regulatory compliance. 

• We collect and store your personal data when you visit our website or social media e.g., via our cookie management system (consent) on our website and when you send us an enquiry via our contact forms or direct message us through Twitter or Facebook (contractual obligation). 

• We collect and store your personal data which is provided to us by clients or from other professionals during the delivery of a service (contractual obligation). 

• We collect and store your personal data when you apply for, or during employment with The Powerline Advisory Group (contractual and legal obligation).

Where applicable, you have the right to data portability of your information and the right to be informed about any automated decision-making we may use. 

If we receive a request from you to exercise any of the above rights, we may ask you to verify your identity before acting on the request; this is to ensure that your data is protected and kept secure.

Sharing and Disclosing Your Personal Information

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this statement or where there is a legal requirement. 

The Powerline Advisory Group uses some third parties to provide services to our business functions that enable us to deliver our services to you. All third-party processors acting on our behalf only process or access your data in accordance with instructions from us and comply fully with this privacy statement, data protection laws and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. 

These third parties include our Regulators; accountancy professionals; our networking and infrastructure support providers and web development support, and all third-party processors are governed by a formal Data Processing Agreement. 

Safeguarding Measures 

The Powerline Advisory Group takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: 

• SSL, TLS, encryption, pseudonymisation, restricted access, IT authentication, firewalls, anti-virus and malware detection, etc. 

Consequences of Not Providing Your Data

 You are not obligated to provide your personal information to The Powerline Advisory Group, however, as this information is required for us to provide you with our services or deliver your legitimate interests, we will not be able to offer some/all our services without it.

How Long We Keep Your Data

The Powerline Advisory Group only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Other purposes for processing your personal data may mean that your personal data is retained for longer or shorter periods, the duration of which is made available to you. 

Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent. 

Lodging a Complaint

The Powerline Advisory Group only processes your personal information in compliance with this privacy statement and in accordance with the relevant data protection laws. If, however you wish to raise a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data or are unsatisfied with how we have handled your information, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
